Workers’ compensation in Arizona has a “no fault” system in which injured workers receive medical and indemnity benefits in relation to an industrial illness or injury regardless of cause. As a workers’ compensation claimant, you may get a second opinion and change doctors during the course of examination and treatment. According to Arizona laws, you may do so if:
- The ICA grants your written request to change doctors.
- Your current doctor refers you to another doctor or specialist.
- The insurance company approves your request to change doctors.
